Objectives
This course will be an interactive method for the Rio Grande College of Pharmacy instructors to assess students' motivation and communication skills as they relate to specific topics selected by the instructors.
Format
This course takes place via a discussion board in the students' only area of the College web site. Students are encouraged to write with questions or comments regarding recent or current topics. Students are also able to suggest potential future topics.
Grading
In order to receive credit for the Seminar, students must post questions and/or comments at least once per week for eight consecutive weeks. In addition, students must post questions and/or comments at least once per month for their entire period of enrollment. Questions and comments must be pertinent, as determined by the faculty monitor, in order for credit to be given. All grades are pass/fail.
Procedure
Upon enrollment, students are given a username and password to access the students' only area. Once a student has access, the procedure for posting messages is self-explanatory. Students without internet access may participate through traditional mail.
